Alopecia
Alopecia is better known as hair loss. Women as well as men are subject to alopecia, and the cause is sometimes genetic. Depending on the type of alopecia, it may cause hair thinning or bald patches.
Treatment may include topical medications such as Rogaine, oral medication such as Propecia, vitamins or steroid injections.
