Surgeon Samy Badawy, MD

Dr. Samy Badawy is Skin Smart's surgeon who specializes in modified Mohs surgical excision of skin cancers, leg vein management and laser services.

Dr. Badawy earned his MD at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, following a graduate degree at the University of Bordeaux in France and a bachelor's degree from Cornell University.

Postgraduate training included internships at Brown University Hospital and Sinai Hospital through Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Badawy completed his surgical residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and additional laparoscopic surgical training at Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. Badawy is a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the American Society of Dermatological Surgery, the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery and the College of Phlebology.

In his free time, Dr. Badawy is an active practitioner of Akido and coaches soccer. He and his wife, Dr. Toby Shawe, have three children.
